Traveling is not only a break from everyday life but is more like a lifestyle. Because of traveling I developed a much broader view on life. A lot of world issues can be put in a better perspective with the experience of traveling. I consider myself a global citizen but without losing my Dutch identity.
Traveling not only keeps me busy during the actual trip. The preparation is a lot of fun. Where to go, what to do and when to go… After coming back from a trip there’s still a lot of work to do. Pictures have to be sorted out and edited, a slideshow has to be created, as well as a photobook. Then there’s the diary still to be finished and edited (this can be a very lengthy process…) so it can be used for this website. When that all has been accomplished there are still the memories. Sweet memories…
